The First Collection Business Bay

This hotel was a total disappointment. First things first. The location looks nothing like in the pictures, on top of that it is surrounded by a huge construction site that is not going to end soon, they should’ve mentioned that on their website. Secondly the room was fine but for the price a total rip off, not 4 stars, 3 the most, it was not properly vacuumed and cleaned. Third and the most important that would’ve balanced everything was the buffet, we had breakfast and dinners bought… worst food quality and preparation, cannot describe it, the food from the breakfast is mixed between eachother with different sauces and given a new name. During the breakfast you wait in line at two guys that are just learning to make omelettes and you could tell everyone in line is pissed. They have a different cuisine every night supposedly but it’s the same food remixed, but the level of quality is so low, especially for the price asking, if this was a cheaper hotel totally understandable. We had 9 nights booked, we tried the buffet morning and evening the first 3 after that no more, we were afraid to get sick and we ate somewhere else. We basically wasted money on this hotel, found higher quality another time when we stayed at a hotel half the price of this one. This was booked with 6 months prior, the price of the rooms upon arrival was almost double, I cannot Imagine how does people felt when they saw what they paid for. We booked it for 185€/night breakfast and dinner. The pictures are nothing like the reality.

Had a pleasant stay at this hotel this past week. Staff were friendly and housekeeping were mostly good at keeping the room tidy and clean. Super unfortunate regarding the location of the pool, as it's always in the shade. One of the rooms on the site seems to have the canal in the background though I didn't stay in this room, due to the distance from the canal, it doesn't seem like it would be possible to have a room that is canal facing. They also helped co-ordinate decorating my room with Happy Birthday balloons and decorations which was very much appreciated!

The hotel was definitely worth my money. The rooms were nice with decent views. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff was polite. Our room was located on the 3rd floor, and everything was nice. The only issue we had was with the chill box, which did not seem to be working properly but was quickly fixed by the hotel engineer. The concierge also ordered an airport taxi for us in the night 👍🏻 We ordered Uber to go to the Dubai Mall, which was located approximately 10 minutes away, and the Mall of Emirates, which was approximately 18 minutes away.

First things first (no pun intended) is the location. I like Business Bay, but at the moment, there is construction near this place (not that it's noisy) that when finished, it will provide a walking route. It doesn't for now. So, if you're on foot, to get to shops requires a bit of walking. That's not so bad (a good way to keep exercising whilst in Dubai), but something to note. The room was fine, it's quite a new hotel. I've stayed in many hotels, so I don't get that hotel excitement or holiday feeling. Anything negative immediately stands out. Nothing from this place. Breakfast was also good. You can sit outside (accompanied by a few of the migratory birds on occasion, which is nice). In fact, at the buffet breakfast, the egg station chef (cooking eggs to order) was outside. I was motivated to stay at this place by First Collection's investment sales team. First Collection has some nice hotels.

Location of the hotel is next to everything but my (executive suit) is just facing a noisy construction work. Complaint was raised with no help at all. Service was poor, no food delivery to the room compared to other fancy places. You have to do everything by your own. AC was warm while temperature was set up to 18!! Room was quite expensive to the price..

Cozy and Convenient - The First Collection Business Bay The First Collection Business Bay offered a pleasant stay with its comfortable rooms, efficient service, and practical location. The free gym and swimming pool were great for leisure, and the inclusive breakfast had a lovely variety. Despite the surrounding construction, the hotel's atmosphere remained welcoming, thanks to the kind staff. It's a bit removed from the main attractions but fairly priced. Ideal for families, couples, and business travelers. I'd stay here again.
